At NovoServe, you can install a variety of operating systems of your choice. Whether you're using Linux, Windows or other OS, there are different installation methods available to suit your needs.
Automated OS Installer (for Linux)
For most Linux-based systems, you can use our built-in automated OS installer directly via the customer portal.
- Navigate to the client area
- Navigate to the server you want to install
- Select the option to install your OS
- Select your preferred Linux distribution
Currently supported Linux OS options:
- Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
- Debian 12
- Debian 11
- Rocky Linux 10
- Rocky Linux 9.6
- AlmaLinux 10
- AlmaLinux 9.6

Note: If the automated OS Installer is not yet available in your customer portal, please submit a ticket request and our engineers will assist with installing the Linux OS for you.
Note: Certain OS versions may not be supported on older hardware such as HPE Gen8 servers. Contact our sales team via website live chat or contact form for more information.
IPMI / ILO (KVM Access)
All our bare metal servers come with out-of-band management:
- ILO for HPE servers
- IPMI for Supermicro servers
This functionality is integrated free of charge into our customer portal. It allows you to:
- Access your server remotely
- Mount an ISO image, which allows you to install any OS manually, including:
- Windows Server
- Linux distributions
- VMware ESXi
- Other custom or legacy OS
This is the method for installing operating systems not supported by our automated OS installer, such as Windows.
Custom OS Installation
If you're installing a non-Linux OS (e.g., Windows Server), or if the OS you need is not listed in our installer, and you cannot use IPMI/ILO to manually install your OS, you may request assistance from our engineers with your custom OS installation. Contact us for more details.
Note: Our engineers can only assist your custom OS installation request on a best effort basis. A one-time setup fee may apply.
